Services and Fees

Initial Consultation: $100-$300
This is the starting place for most of my services. I review your manuscript or written materials to determine if my services are appropriate and how I might help you. This consultation does not guarantee acceptance but does provide you with valuable editorial feedback, regardless of future agreement.

Text Development: Cost depends on need
I assist you in developing your written material into a book through editing and coaching services (see below), or a combination of both. Fee can be hourly or, in the case of a publisher’s advance, one sum dependent on arrangement with author.

• Editing Services: $85/$55 hourly
  Developmental (Outlines, organization, re-writing, concept
  development), $85/hr.
  Line (grammar, spelling, style, formatting, etc.), $55/hr.



• Coaching Services: $1200 for 3 months or $100 hourly
  If you can write, but need support during the writing process to stay on track, explore content directions, and get the job done in a timely manner, I provide coaching services to bring your project to fulfillment.

Book Proposal Preparation: $2,000-$3,000 (Negotiable)
I work with you to prepare a book proposal for submission to a publisher. Proposals I’ve written have received advances of up to six figures. Fee is negotiable and depends on the stage of development your book is in.

Manuscript Evaluation: $300 depending on length
I read and evaluate your manuscript and tell you what is needed to make it a marketable book or other document.

Co-author Partnership: By arrangement
We work together to produce a book, with me as the writer.
